Top Maoist leader- an IIT dropout, magistrate's son- arrested in Bengal

    

The arrest of Arnab Dam alias Bikram is a major success in the low-intensity campaign against the rebel group.

    KOLKATA: State police on Monday had yet another breakthrough in its counter insurgency drive against Maoists when it apprehended a top leader, who happens to be an IIT dropout and a judicial magistrate's son, of the outfit in West Bengal. According to security forces, after the Maoist military leader Kishenji's encounter in November 2011, the arrest of Arnab Dam alias Bikram, state committee member of CPI (Maoists) is a major success in the low-intensity campaign against the rebel group.
